Nissan reveals Castrol Racing
Castrol has extended their partnership with Nissan Motorsport as naming rights partner on Rick Kelly's #15 Nissan Altima for the upcoming Supercars Championship season.

The team has today unveiled a striking new livery on the eve of the first round of the season. The #15 Castrol Racing Altima will wear the lubricant brand's colours, which have been so distinctive on Australia's racetracks for decades, alongside the iconic Nissan NISMO branding.

"I couldn't be more excited to represent Team Castrol in 2018," said Kelly. "Those Castrol colours are pretty revered in Australian Motorsport, so it's definitely special to represent them."

The announcement maintains an on-going relationship with Kelly that charts not only his racing career but also much of his formative years.

"Castrol has flowed through my life for decades. They were the lubricants in our farming machinery in Mildura, on the bobcats I worked on in my teens, all the way through to my Bathurst victories in 2003-2004. Castrol as a brand has supported Todd and I since the start of Kelly Racing in 2009 and have been a great partner of the team since then."

The team has worked closely with Castrol in that time to develop high performance products specially designed for the pressures of Supercars racing.

"Castrol's commitment to innovation give us the confidence that we can perform at the top of Australian Motorsport. As a team we've seen that over the last 10 years."

"I want to express how excited how I am to work with such a fantastic global brand, but also a great local team. A team that has been committed to Australian Motorsport for many years. It gives me confidence rolling out at Adelaide with Castrol on the car and it is also a responsibility to ensure we get them to the front."

"The opportunity to kick things up a gear with Nissan Motorsport is one that we couldn't be more excited about," added Castrol Marketing Director, Ben Rose, "Motorsport has always been a part of Castrol's DNA, and the presence of Castrol Racing on the track this year is something we know that Supercar fans across Australia are going to love."

"Through Castrol Racing, we want Nissan Motorsport to be able to unlock the true potential of their race cars, and we believe that we'll see that potential translate on track in 2018."

The 2018 Virgin Australian Championship begins this weekend at the Adelaide 500.
